Ikhlaas (Sincerity)
The word Ikhlaas (Sincerity) means to have the intention of only Allah Almighty in one's acts of obedience. The motive must be only the Proximity and Pleasure of Allah Almighty. This motive must not be contaminated with personal motives of gain or the pleasure of others. Elimination of riyaa (show) is precisely the acquisition of Ikhlaas. No matter what type of righteousness an act may be and no matter how little it may be, if it is accompanied by Ikhlaas, it will be permeated with blessings even if there is no helper.
Reward will increase in proportion to the degree of Ikhlaas. The secret is the degree of Ikhlaas. The highest stage of Ikhlaas is the rendering of an act for the sake of only Allah Almighty, creation having absolutely no connection in one's motive. A lesser degree of Ikhlaas is that the act is rendered to please people but it was not motivated by any desire for worldly gain. The motive was merely to please others. The third degree of Ikhlaas is to render an act without having any motive. The motive is neither the faith nor the world. This too is Ikhlaas, i.e. the non-existence of riyaa (show).
The reason behind selecting the name 'Ikhlaas' for this website is exactly for the reasons explained above. In short, our intention is to to propagate the true message of Islam in order to gain the pleasure of Allah Almighty.

The aim of TheIkhlaas.com is to propagate the true message of the religion of Islam. The many false accusations and view points of the media and others have led many to believe Islam as being an old fashioned and backward religion. To the extent that some are even led to believe Muslim's worship a black box in the middle of a desert or even worse, a moon God. These ideologies are far from the truth. Our objective is to deliver Islamic awareness using authentic resources to represent Muslims and their faith correctly. This is the very message revealed by Allah Almighty through the Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him more than 1400 years ago. We will strive to combat any misunderstandings spread by media propaganda and others, through peaceful means (knowledge and intellect).
The word Islam in itself means peace and submission to Allah Almighty. This being one of the basic beliefs, Muslim's also believe in the Final Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him. Muslims also believe in Jesus (Isa) peace be upon him, but as a prophet of Allah Almighty who was sent to a particular group of people. Muhammad peace be upon him was sent 570 years after Jesus peace be upon him and was not only sent to a group of people or a particular region, but to the whole of mankind.
As in any religion, culture or society, there will always be a minority who falsely represent their people. Our opinions upon millions of fellow human beings must not be based due to the actions of a minority. By keeping an open mind we will come to learn and understand that the majority of people seek peace, and Islam or Muslim's are no different from this. Some of the terms used today in spreading propaganda against Islam include 'Muslim Terrorist' and 'Islamic Militant' but in fact these make no sense whatsoever. How can someone who is Muslim, believing in peace and submission, cause terror? Peace and submission to Allah Almighty cannot be installed and used in the same context as terror. Islam teaches individuals to accept the religion as a total way of life, incorporating humilty, generosity, honesty, abstaining from causing anyone inconvenience, establishing good relations and many other beautiful morals and social etiquettes. These are not restricted only to those who practice Islam, but to every human being of every religion, culture and background.
